Inside the product box, Asus was kind enough to include a Targus laptop bag. I thought this was a nice touch on Asus(Asus A32-W7 Battery )’ part, since it will save you a few bucks down the road.

Another neat feature included with the F6Ve is the Express Gate application suite. There’s a dedicated button on the left side above the keyboard that when pressed, boots the laptop PA3399U-1BAS  directly into the Express Gate menu without first booting into Windows. It only takes a few seconds to load a barebones OS that allows you to play online games of several varieties; view your photo gallery; play music; access chat apps like AIM, load a web browser, or even load up a Skype app to make calls over the internet. I’ve always thought a pre-boot OS like this is a cool thing to have, especially if you just want to check something fast without waiting for Vista to boot up.

The keyboard has a rounded edge bezel and is offset deep enough so that when the notebook is closed, the keyboard cannot come in contact with the MacBook's screen. This is a considerable improvement over Apple(Apple A1175 Battery )'s iBook that was known for key marks on its screen. The new keyboard has flatter keys that have been separated from each other so they aren't touching. This is a new keyboard design for an Apple laptop, but it is a considerable improvement. The new keyboard only takes a short while to get used to and once you do you may miss it when using any other.

Unlike other companies, HP included separate recovery discs to reinstall the operating system or software/drivers. In customizing the dv5000z from HPSHOPPING.COM, you can select Windows XP Home, Media Center, or Professional.

The Basic Edition works on a single computer and supports up to three employees. As your business grows, you can upgrade to the Pro or Network Editions, according to the developer. System requirements call for a 1GHz or faster processor, VGP-BPS2C battery,40MB hard disk space, 32MB RAM.--PC

When I was working on this review, I had to temporarily surrender my previous-generation 1.86GHz MacBook Air so it could be retested by Macworld Lab as a reference system. For five days I used a new 13-inch MacBook Pro, replete with ports and features that the Air lacks. And while I appreciated having dedicated ethernet and hooking up my backup drive via FireWire 800, the truth is, the whole time I longed to return to the Air.
